The cause of many conflicts that encounter people’s lives is the fact they only speak within the heat of the moment and neglect the afterwards conflicts, which prompt them to develop inessential complications. In the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, many characters are put into situations that are poorly dealt with and the consequences are dreadful. Various characters within the play often act hastily and without thought before making careless and thoughtless decisions. As a result of their refusal to acknowledge the consequences of their actions, serious implications are impossible to avoid.

It shows he haste to fight, no matter what. Thirdly, Mercutio makes many rash emotionally driven decisions, refusing many great advices he receives for his own benefit just like Romeo, proves his haste.
“Thou art like one of these fellows that, when he enters the confines of a tavern, claps me his sword upon the table and says ‘God send me no need of thee!’ and by the operation of the second cup draws him on the drawer, when, indeed, there is no need” (Act.III, Scene. 1, 5)
Benvolio is a very rational character and makes it clear with saying “And if we meet, we shall not ‘scape a brawl for now. These hot days, is the mad blood stirring” (Act. II, Scene I. 3) Benvoli says if they are both caught on the street of the Capulet’s, they are doomed and there will be no turning back, but Mercutio refuses with his haste decisions and is ready to duel, if needed.
