The thoracic spine made up of twelve vertebrae, labelled T1-T12 is built for stability, holding the body upright and providing protection for the vital organs in the chest.
The most common cause of thoracic back pain is due to muscular irritation or other soft tissue problems, caused by lack of strength, poor posture, prolonged sitting at a computer, using a backpack, overuse injuries such as repetitive motion, or trauma.
