Coming to Georgetown University to begin it had itself been a blessing itself. Every program and activity here in Georgetown appears to be unique and a great learning experience itself. Coming to Georgetown as a student had not only opened my mind academically but also, non academically.
Throughout this semester I have had the honor to be a part of several Georgetown activities or activities mainly International negotiation and crisis simulation and Model United Nations- Training. And not to forget the fun events for example fall fest , diwali night and many more!
To begin with both the events, International Simulation and Model United Nations, both the events on two different sides have been a distinct learning experience for me. International

I was chosen as a United Kingdom representative along with two of my other fellow mates. The two biggest leadership competencies that I have personally gained from it are “Working as a team”, “communications” and “Moving ideas into Action”. Team work and equal efforts had been the key of the crisis stimulation. It involves not only cultivating relationship with your fellow teammates but also with other International country delegations. Through the stimulation, I had noticed that communication in general is the key for every negotiation. As for this year’s topic was the conflict of Kashmir between India and Pakistan, I had learned to help and work as a UK diplomat and as a mediator between two countries facing a heated conflicted on a land based on political and historical reasons. The meetings that me and my teammates have had with every country’s representatives has taught us to work through our differences and reach a ground of common understanding with no self-gains or benefits. Our main targets from the negotiation as a mediator was the importance of self-determination of every Kashmiri citizen facing the first hand impact of the conflict. Second, the emphasis on humanitarian aid and its necessity for the people in Kashmir. In the midst of the conflict between India and Pakistan- we made sure with

During my sophomore year as an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, I was accepted into the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. I do not exaggerate when I say that this program changed the entire course of my life: helping me to fully understand my interests, altering my professional goals, and providing me with a viable path for my passions. As a first generation student, I had very little knowledge about how to navigate the sphere of undergraduate education and in the same vein, I knew next to nothing about graduate school. Before McNair I was never aware of what graduate school could offer me and the program, and the people it connected me with, became my greatest source of support as I made the journey into pursuing my doctorate.…

Upon my arrival at Commonwealth Honors Academy a mere twelve days ago I was ignorant to the fact that I was going to learn so much in my time spent here, but now I look back and realize that I have gained so much knowledge and I have acquired more details to add to what I knew before arrival. Overall I have learned that most things in life require constant attention and effort to make them truly work and that anyone you come in contact with and create an influence with will then, in turn, make a larger circle of influence that can quickly become bigger than you can ever be. The universal themes that have had the largest impact on me are the themes of Happiness, Friendship, and Sovereignty of Education. It was Aristotle who defined happiness…

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…

Why should I be selected as Homecoming Queen? It is funny that you asked. This is a question that I have asked myself since freshman year when I saw my first UNCG Homecoming. How elegant, graceful and astute she appeared. Quite frankly, I could say I should be selected because I want it endearingly, but then again, whom would apply if not because she wanted it, craved it, desired it so lovingly?…
