In the year 1875, a young boy that had been hung has made people live in fear up to this day. The young boy, William Crawford, was born in Louisiana and moved to Arkansas when he was about 9 years old. Many people did not accept their family in the town, simply for the fact that the little boys mom was african american and the father was white. The little boy was born deaf in his right ear. When he would go to school he would cross a bridge right by his house, and hear a faint whisper come from under the bridge. William had never thought anything of it just because he couldn't hear with both his ears. William had been attended school for about two months and was callously bullied.
