Crawford Bridge

All the dead of the world will sit and witnessed your death. You will see 12 hanging men and blood drenched wood. Screams to fill your ears, and a whisper that will call you to your death, if you cross Crawford bridge. . In the year 1875, a young boy that had been hung has made people live in fear up to this day. The young boy, William Crawford, was born in Louisiana and moved to Arkansas when he was about 9 years old. Many people did not accept their family in the town, simply for the fact that the little boys mom was african american and the father was white. The little boy was born deaf in his right ear. People believed that his parents segregated marriage was the reason. William attended school at Atkins Elementary. He lived about 2 miles

When he would go to school he would cross a bridge right by his house, and hear a faint whisper come from under the bridge. William had never thought anything of it just because he couldn't hear with both his ears. William had been attended school for about two months and was callously bullied. The young boys and girls would scream and yell into the Williams deaf ear.
He would walk home crying just about everyday. He just didn't understand why he got so much grief from his parents having a mixed child. His parents were the kindest most accepting people. They raised William in a home of respect and love. One evening William was walking home when suddenly a rumble of men chasing him had shook the ground. He charged home in fear. About 11 p.m, a startling crashing sound had awaken him and his parents. Some people in the town who were hateful and racist had threw rocks and busted out their glass windows. Williams mother fell to her knees in tears, she felt all the hate in the world just for falling in love. William and his dad sat beside her and held her. They promised they would protect her and the
