In the begging of 1776, there was a small percentage of people that were really advocating independence, and small percentage that did not want independence and a large percentage that just were not sure. Yet, was has already started Thomas Paine writes and publishes his work, which ends up being a huge success. “Common Sense was written in a sermon style, so it was relatable the average person could read it and understand.
