According to www.classroom.monticello.org, Thomas Jefferson used not books or pamphlets to help him write the Declaration of Independence. Usually when any author writes, they start off with research to learn more about the topics they are writing about, Thomas Jefferson just wrote the Declaration of Independence from the top of his head and dove straight into writing. He decided to take into thought the public’s opinions instead of taking random ideas to write a meaningful document that most people will agree to. Instead of copying and pasting, he wrote it according to the way his heart told him and through his knowledge of rights and equality. Through his writing, many authors were influenced to write what their hearts say and not be afraid of what other think. According to www.history,com, Thomas Jefferson was Virginia’s governor, the U.S. minister, the U.S. Secretary of State, Vice President, and President. Also, once he retired from office, Thomas Jefferson helped found the University of Virginia by designing the school’s design and curriculum. Only people of great wisdom would be able t go through the different stages of careers that Thomas Jefferson had. Usually a person works one job and switches to another occasionally if it offers better opportunities, but Thomas Jefferson changed to many different careers each completely unrelated. After being in office, he did not end his career, but continued to do great things by helping establish an university. Thomas Jefferson took risks that helped increase his knowledge in many areas through the different career experiences he had. Through the great intellectual skills he had, Thomas Jefferson was able to do many great things such as becoming the third President and writing the Declaration of Independence with no help from any
