Thomas Jefferson Achievements

When I was two hours old, my parents decided to throw a “political party”. Kids had to come dressed up either as Federalists or Democratic-Republicans. I remember the tea party we had quite vividly. We discussed important matters while still having fun. Etched into my mind, I still wonder what life was like back in the 18th century as our founding fathers developed the prosperous nation we have today. The Democratic-Republican Party was one of the most influential political parties during the 18th century. Although the Democratic-Republican Party has split, some of our nation’s biggest successes trace back to them. To begin with, Thomas Jefferson, leader of the Democratic-Republican Party was an extraordinary leader for several reasons.

Thomas Jefferson had many qualities that befitted him to be an extravagant leader. According to History Alive! The United States Through Industrialism, “When he entered college at the age of 16, he already knew Greek and Latin.”(pg. 152) Without a doubt, Jefferson had a gifted mind which allowed him to be capable of many things many people during this time were not. His ability to comprehend these complex languages at such a young age shows his determination to achieve goals that he sets. Not only do the decisions he make benefit him, but it assists the nation’s development. With a safe and prosperous nation, the citizens are able to discover the unknown, grow their businesses, farm, and much more! To further prove my point it
