We as a nation have had many wonderful presidents who have done so much for this country. Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson are just three out of the 43 presidents who were given the privilege to guide our country. But out of the Three of them Jefferson is the best.

I’m not saying that Abraham Lincoln or George Washington weren’t good presidents, they were great presidents. Abraham Lincoln got rid of slavery, and George Washington fought for our countries freedom. But neither of them had the determination and dedication that Thomas Jefferson possessed.

Thomas Jefferson has many accomplishments regarding the services he provided to the new union, 12 to be exact. His service of dedication went over 50 years!

In spite of this, Borden believes that biographers have too often taken “the popular view of Jefferson and his enemies” and “missed or misconstrued the reality” (40). The best example, Jefferson and Adams, had disagreements, but Borden points out that they were also similar. They both wanted “to avoid war, to quiet factionalism, to preserve republicanism” (42). Fittingly, from 1812 to 1826, Adam’s and Jefferson’s friendship renewed through a series of “masterful” correspondences (42). By closing the gap, Jefferson was putting the nation first—benefiting all…

Thomas Jefferson is known by many as the 3rd president of the United States. During the final years of his presidency, he bought a humongous piece of land which was labeled the Louisiana Purchase. That 530 million acres of land led to very impactful moments in american history like: Lewis and Clark’s Expedition in 1804, The Indian Removal Act, The Mexican War, The Trail of Tears, the questioning of slavery within the north, Bleeding Kansas, a decade of the gold rush, and many more. He is the one person that had the biggest impact on the Westward expansion because he began the entire thing. George Washington was the first president, Thomas Jefferson was the third, and Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth. This may not mean much to this generation but they created what America is today. Many people may agree that Abraham Lincoln and George Washington were strong, significant leaders, but Thomas Jefferson was the strongest of the three and contributed the most to our country. Thomas Jefferson is the strongest leader because he "made an impact on every aspect of society" (Jacobson 7). The educational systems were impacted by his idea of creating a public library that was free and easy to use for all citizens.…

Did you know a president that is a Democratic-Republican listens to the public’s opinions and to what they want? A president that is a Federalist will not be able to run the country if he doesn’t give the people a say in what they want. Unlike Federalists, the Democratic-Republican party will assure that we have an excellent leader, that our laws are fair to our rights, and they give power to state governments instead of one central government. In order to run for president, you must be a responsible, dedicated person.…

Thomas Jefferson, one of the most popular founding fathers, the main author of the Declaration of Independence, and the third president of the United States of America was revered by his contemporaries and is still to this day a well respected figure in American history. But, this does not mean that the man had no faults. Often in todays world Thomas Jefferson is looked back upon and has been scrutinized by many for his apparent hypocrisy on matters such as slavery and on what he believed limitations of the federal government were to be. Although some of Jefferson’s past can be dark and questionable, he was no hypocrite, but a man who understood that his decisions would have lasting effects on the new country, and that putting his own personal…

If ranking presidents from best to worst, Washington by far has been the best president following him would be Jefferson then Madison and finally Adams. They all had very good presidencies, but some were better than the others. One was viewed by the public as a hero, the other was viewed as the writer of the declaration of independence, Madison was considered the father of the constitution and Adams was just viewed as a stubborn man. I choose president Washington as the best one because he was this nation very first president and everyone respected him. Washington easily could’ve become a dictator or a king, but he refused it, he wanted justice for the united states.…

George Washington could arguably be the best president but reasons as to why Washington was the nation 's most well done president can be drawn from before his presidency as a general during the revolutionary war. During the war he demonstrated great strength in leadership and intelligence, leading his outnumbered army away from defeat on two different occasions that gave them a much needed advantage that ultimately won the war. The first occasion was during the battle of Princeton on December 26th 1776 and in Morristown in 1777. During both instances, Washington seemed to be outnumbered and losing the battles but managed to outsmart the British on both accounts. Afterwards when he was unanimously elected by the electoral college in 1789 and…
