Thomas Edison Accomplishments

Thomas Edison was an American inventor and businessman. I chose Edison because if it wasn't for him things would probably be different right now. His most famous inventions were the lightbulb and the telegraph. I chose him because he was a very creative person and smart. Another reason is because even if he had trouble focusing in school he still managed to learn a lot of stuff.

Edison was the last of seven children. He had trouble hearing because he had ear infection. Edison was a hyperactive kid which he was always getting distracted in school. Edison’s teacher got enough with him , which caused him stop going to school. His mother ended up teaching Edison. Soon at a young ages Thomas was asking his parents questions of physics that they couldn’t answer. He reached a great level of intelligence at such a young age.

Another of his inventions that didn’t ended up good was a telephone that talked to the dead. After World War 1 Edison thought it would be nice if families could contact their dead relatives. Unfortunately there was no proof that the telephone worked. And people that bought it never reported that dead actually talked
