When I was a child, I was often lectured by teachers. In order to endure the endless scolding, I started fantasizing or thinking something fun. For example, when I was a child, I often imagined about cartoons that I loved, and now, I often enjoy some kinds of thought experiments. Since I began the escapism, I have been able to tolerate what I had thought boring. Furthermore, Weiner also said, “You don’t like the way things are, they aren’t interesting enough for you, so you decide—and boredom is a decision—that you are bored.”…

To Be a Slob or Not to Be While some people still hold to the fact that working one’s hardest and not appearing to seem lazy is in one’s best interest, others may try to explain how making the minimum effort of doing things can have greater perks than trying to do the best of one’s ability. In this case, Andy Simmons, the author of the article “I’m a Slob, and You Should Be One Too”, fails to deliver an effective article that suggests being a slob is a good thing and negatively encourages others to join his stance. Andy Simmons’s claim that being a slob results in benefits is flawed because making up one’s bed can develop valuable habits, having a cluttered desk can lead to anxiety, and doing nothing instead of being active can have negative…

There is a great deal of intrigue within a transitional period, in both a literal and figurative sense. The public transportation system acts a null void or transition from one location to the other, although seemingly mundane, it is crucial for providing context for one’s final destination. The subway in particular allows for social situations to arise where an individual can be introspective whilst observing different people and behaviors in a diminutive amount of time. The act of examination in the public sphere allows an individual to decide how they desire to interact within any given environment. Additionally, the brain is capable of processing a vast amount of data at an exponentially rapid rate as to which a human can identify various variables of an another’s behavior and react appropriately; sensing danger, fear or commonality.…
