The book, This Girl Isn’t Shy She’s Spectacular by Nina Beck was a really fantastic book that related to my life in many ways. I had a liking for the book, because I felt as if I had a relation to the character. The way, Nina Beck, wrote this book made me feel as if I was reading about my own life. This Girl Isn’t Shy She’s Spectacular was an easy read. I was in awe of how Beck made me relate to the character, how well she organized the book, and the amount of detail she incorporated into the book. Samantha and I relate because she had a backbone in life, and was very brave. She was brave enough to stand up for what she believed in. Samantha was also known as “The girl with no personality” (Beck, 1). There was a setback to our relation. In this book, Samantha wants to change for the worst, and that’s where she and I split. Samantha dedicates her social life to becoming a wild party animal. Meanwhile, I have never really craved for that attention. I wasn’t ever fond of the idea of going to a party to get drunk and leave. Samantha was chasing that idea. Now, throughout her time of changing, she did have her doubts, and that’s where we step back to our relation. Although I …show more content…
In the middle of the book, is when Beck started to draw me in further. Riley has managed to maintain two best friends, and that’s when I relate with Riley. Riley has D and Samantha as best friends, and I have Ashley and Kuawn. I also relate to Riley because she tries to be matchmaker. I have also tried to be matchmaker. Beck just makes the book relatable to anybody I feel like. There’s just small characteristics that make you relate to everyone. In the middle of the book, D and Samantha collide, and that’s where I continued to read. Beck just filled the book with drama and made me to continue to read. This book was just great.y written and I enjoyed how Beck threw in multiple turns in the book so you’d never be able to put down the
