"The collective response to the climate crisis is changing from something that primarily takes place in closed-door policy and lobbying meetings into something alive and unpredictable and very much in the streets (and mountains, and farmers’ fields, and forests)." (Klein, pg 296) She states that lobbying is not an effective way to bring climate change to the attention of politicians. Many people have used this method for a long time. Most people are focused on what is popular in the world. Fighting climate change is not one of these popular subjects.
