Third Grade Reflection Essay

For me as a child I had what many considered an old sold. This old sold came to haunt me in the third grade. I had to learn from my mother that everyone is not capable of doing the same things. I had to learn that from signing another persons name on a document you are committing a crime, ethical, and moral issues. To a third grader this may not have been much of a significant standpoint outside of mommy being mad. Now that I look back I can see how I misinterpreted things and learned how to put everything into perspective. It took some years. it also took a lot of learning but from this one incident I was able to build a better understanding. …show more content…
Signing your mothers name on your agenda to me was not a crime but a timesaver. I only began doing this because I felt that if I had no bad reports and always told my parents of any special events or announcements that went on why would I keep giving them a useless item to sign everyday. Hence why I took it upon myself to start signing my mothers' name. What I did not know was this was also known as plagiarism. Since I was putting someone else name on a paper that they did not approve of was against the law and once I was told this my heart pounded a million times outside of my chest. I could even go as far as to say that I broke out into a cold sweat. It was hard for me to imagine being known as a good girl that i had done so mething so wrong. I learned a lesson that day. Being that I did not want to ever go to

3.5 difficulty = Can be quite difficult. While the cache is not overly difficult, it will require some problem solving. Some will make quick work of the puzzle and that is great. This is especially true if a similar cache has been previously encountered (yes there are others out there). For some though, the cache will be difficult to figure out and may require a return visit, hence the 3.5 difficulty rating.…

When most people think of a history class they imagine sitting in a dark lecture hall taking notes off a PowerPoint presentation, memorizing a few dates and people, repeating it on the test. Truly studying history, I learned, is more than memorization of a previously told story and accepting it as true. In this class I have learned history is about actively engaging the material, picking apart the details and nuances, creating and using timelines, finding deeper meaning in the material, asking questions, then looking again and digging deeper. It is not a passive study and not about memorization as I believed at the beginning of the semester. History is about asking questions and looking for answers, not just accepting what is already there, but…

As I continue my fitness journey in Zumba toning, there are areas of progression as well as areas for improvement. Currently, we are in the eighth week of the semester, but I have been enrolled in Zumba toning for only five weeks. Also, I was absent for two sessions and one session was cancelled. Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to measure my progress in some areas due to these circumstances. The concluding paragraph is the grand finale to writing a paper. They have the power to make professors stop and think “wow, that was an overall strong paper” or “wow, that went downhill quick.” After writing my essays this semester for Writing 102, I believe that my conclusions most likely evoked the second response. Usually my conclusions tend to stray off-topic, or when I attempt to write a creative opening sentence in my conclusion, it does not relate to my paper at all; therefore, it leaves readers with confusion. During Writing 102, I learned that not all conclusions need to be creative and elaborate because usually a simple and concise conclusion will serve the purpose.…

Written Reflection for Teaching in the Middle School Classroom Summary of the Articles The three required journals for this class all addressed discipline and success in middle school. Most of the concepts included in each article overlapped and complemented each other well, however, they each delved into their own information. Teaching Disaffected Middle School Students: How Dynamics Shape Student’s Experiences, seemed slightly less researched, but still included a lot of quality information. This article focused on Community Day Schools, schools for students who had been expelled from their schools, and on the three different types of teachers that taught there.…

From the moment I took my first step into the classroom, I knew that this class would be completely different from the other management classes I have taken. I was terrified that I was walking into unknown territory, and I did not know how to act. The class is completely unstructured and it is not something I was used to, so I did contemplate whether I should switch out of the class or not because I was weary of change. In the end, I did decide to stay in the class because I wanted to overcome my fear and to allow myself to experience something new. The whole class setting and the way we approach certain topics was very unorthodox, and it took me awhile to reevaluate my understanding of what management is.…
