Every day I deal with people who struggle with substance abuse problems. I work for drug court in Thibodaux. People in the drug court program have gotten into trouble with the law because of their addiction to their drug of preference. I see the effects of what substance abuse can do with their life and how it affects their life with their family. They have to go through intense treatment with the drug court counselors to try to fix there lives. I have a sister who dealt with substance abuse problems and it affected her relationship with our family.
