I hope you are all having an enjoyable summer. The Theta Tau chapter is coming off an incredible year filled with personal growth, friendship, loyalty and service. In the fall, the chapter welcomed 51 new women into our sisterhood. We also hosted our annual mud volleyball tournament, and raised a record amount of $7000 for the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” in Kansas City. During the spring semester one of our sisters, Jessica Van Ranken was elected as the student body president of the University. We also introduced a new philanthropy, Sigma Kappatizers.
Though school may no longer be in session at Kansas State University, the Theta Tau chapter is still hard at work preparing for next semester. In July, two of the executive officers will be

    The Kathryn “Kathie” Horslund Beeken Beta Zeta Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by the benefactor nearly 30 years before her passing. Kathie created this scholarship as a tribute to her deep appreciation and love for the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity and its ideals.     Most Improved Chapter Award Entering the school year, the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. sought to close the community engagement gap between the Hill and Greater Ithaca. The members of Alpha made it their goal to serve as role models for young children from minority backgrounds living in the more urban areas.
