Stem cell therapy has been at the forefront of medical research for many years to benefit human life: they help in organ regeneration when some organs are damaged or lost during accidents, these help in curing most of the genetical and metabolic diseases and they play a vital role in clinical trial phases for new drug discovery.

In a living humans, adult stem cells are available to divide and give rise to mature cell when needed which have same characteristic shapes and functions. The following are examples of differentiation pathways of adult stem cells that have been demonstrated in vitro or in vivo.
• Hematopoietic stem cells give rise to all the types of blood cells: red blood cells, B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes, natural killer cells, neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils, monocytes, and macrophages.
• Neural stem cells in the brain give rise to its three major cell types: nerve cells (neurons) and two categories of non-neuronal cells—astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. c. Role of embryonic stem cells and pluripotent stem cells in body growth:
Embryonic stem cells, as their name suggests, are derived from embryos. Most embryonic stem cells are derived from embryos that develop from eggs that have been fertilized in vitro and in vivo conditions. Some clinic stem cells are not derived from fertilized eggs in a woman's body.

Pluripotent stem cells created via iPS cell or SCNT( Stem Cell Nano Technology) are genetically identical to the person who donated the cell to create the lines. If that person has Parkinson’s disease, for example, researchers can grow those cells in a dish and transform them into the type of neurons that go bad in Parkinson’s disease. Stem cell researchers can then study the cells to understand what goes wrong when they begin forming the disease in the dish. These studies would then lead to better ways of detecting the disease at an early stage—or finding ways to slow, halt or reverse the condition.
