Character Analysis: Blue Blood

In the show Blue blood one of the main characters works in the district attorney office in New York City and her name is Erin Reagan. In this episode the case she is working on is about Lenny a mob boss that she knows had been linked to many crimes. As a district attorney it is her job to put criminals in jail but she cannot put Lenny in jail because she cannot get enough evidence against him. She finds a 15 year old cold case about a drug dealer named Mr. Green that she thinks Lenny is somehow involved with his murder. The reasons she thought that Lenny killed him was because he had a history of violent behavior and he was a competitor of his. Jamie and his partner arrived to a scene where a women is in the middle of the road. She is holding up traffic and everyone around her is yelling and cursing at her to move so they could go on with their daily routine. They have no concern for a women who is in the middle of the street. Jamie then realizes that this lady is a mentally ill person and that her name is Jenny. It is not normal for people to be in the middle of the street, her mental state has her confused to the point that it puts her life in danger. Instead of harming her, he realizes that she needs help and talks her out of the dangerous situation. Jamie and his partner then get her out of the street and take her …show more content…
The police that arrived on scene first did not have the proper training to deal with a mentally ill person. When Jamie arrives on scene the other officers have their guns out and pointed to Jenny because they are afraid of what she might do. Again Jamie manages to talk Jenny down and she put the knife down so that she could not harm anyone else. Jamie then uses his connections at a private mental hospital to get Jenny a bed. When he goes to tell her father, he tells Jamie that Jenny had not too long ago committed suicide. Jamie is so distraught that he goes to his father the police commissioner and asks him to not only train the police force better for mentally ill people and to create a study to how they could help the mentally ill
