Thesis Statement For Achieve300

Decent Essays
Overall, throughout this year in 2017 of 9th grade English I’ve undeniably enhanced my personal writing. Some of the reasons I’ve achieved this specific goal are consistently working on Achieve3000, meeting at my expectations for typing essays and reports, and also gaining knowledge from commentary of my assignments in class. At first, the articles I complete in Achieve3000 has thoroughly created my vocabulary and had developed my understanding for each topic of that article. Secondly, I’ve learned that my expectations for a solid essay were required to first obtain a fine thesis statement, secondly a claim that’s comparative, thirdly citing evidence that supports my claim, fourthly explain the evidence and lastly have a great conclusion.

This is the part of the body when I tell you the evidence about of what I was defending, so my evidence is of Achieve3000 and Is that Achieve help a lot of people like 79% of people learn to read and understand the reading and the 22% of people didn’t do it because they don’t want it. That is one of my evidence of why achieve help you a lot in reading, another can be that you have to read a short story and then respond 8 questions and to pass the lesson you need to get the following: 100-88-75, that three grades you need to get to past it then are like other grades that are 63-55-33-0 = something like this and to know if you past it you need only to get 2 incorrect and 6 corrects to have 75 and the only 1 to have 88 and all corrects to have…

I am not confident in writing essays; therefore, I am constantly trying to improve my writing skills. I set up goals in both WR100 and WR98. They include summarizing more concisely, organizing my thoughts in my essays, and identify grammar mistakes in my essays. In WR 100, I started to write outlines and they dramatically improved the organization of my paper, since I planned out the layout of my paper beforehand.…

Over the course of English 102, I have developed a new set of skills and learned to become a better writer. When I first came into English 102 I struggled with many different concepts of writing. During the semester in English 102, my writing became stronger because I learned how to incorporate evidence into my argument, do more thorough research, have smoother transitions, and have more organization throughout my essay. I learned how to peer review better and to take what others say and incorporate it into my essay. In the beginning, before English 102, I struggled with good organization and flow to an essay, sandwich evidence into paragraphs, and having strong arguments in persuasive essays.…

When asked to write about and describe myself I often have to stop and ask myself how would someone who knows me, describe me to someone who doesn’t know me at all. I feel unique would probably be the most fitting adjective for describing Robert Yamane. I enjoy being challenged and never walk away from a problem that I know I can solve. Puzzles are great examples, but more importantly I want to be challenged in the classroom. Which is a huge reason why I want to attend Punahou.…

Essays are always time consuming, but when one has a final product, they always have that sense of accomplishment. The essay may not be perfect the first time around, but with some revision all of the mistakes can be corrected. I have improved my essay writing throughout EN100 with my writing strategies, my ability to revise, and my overall composition of the paper. When I write essays, I make sure I am familiar with my topic. By knowing the topic, I am able to explain and go further into detail.…

I was doing well in writing essays until I got into AP Literature during my senior year. I got stressed in achieving a perfect draft and outline, that I twisted my ideas and confused myself. My drafts and outlines led for my final draft to be unorganized and tended to lose focus. Consequently, writing essays during my senior year turned into my weakness. Thus, since I know I’m going to be writing papers during college, I knew I had to improve my writing.…

Over the course of this semester in my English 1320 class I have seen a drastic change throughout my writing style. Although I still have difficulties with a few writing tasks, I believe that I have improved significantly throughout this course. I have found that with my professor’s guidance along with my own personal editing that my grades have increased. Although it is difficult to not get caught up in simply striving for a letter grade or attaining a 4.0 grade point average, I would like to believe that my main goal was different. Of course I would love to achieve those goals as well, but overall my primary goal throughout this class was to become more relaxed and comfortable in my writings, to use new strategies and proper kinds of conventions, and to truly find a way to express my passion on these papers.…

Final Word I have made significant progress from where my writing skills started at the beginning of Freshman year. Still there are aspects of my writing that I still need to work on. The skills I need to work on are grammar, spelling, and finding quotations to support my claims. The piece that best illustrate my less-developed aspects of my writing is the The Economics Of Marriage for suitors, fathers, and women essay for Taming of the Shrew.…

Over this semester I worked on four significant essays, each with its own goal, and a new skill required or improved. My writing abilities grew, and I set new goals for myself as a writer. A major contribution to this was my peer review, and the teacher’s feedback on the essays. The major essays were the Annotated Bibliography, Rhetorical Analysis, Exploratory Paper, and the Persuasive Research Essay. They each worked on a different skill set, such as the rhetorical triangle, or using research and a proper warrant to make a claim.…

I was not an excellent writer at the beginning of the school year, but I can gladly say now that I have inherited more writing skills that I will benefit from in the future. One of those skills is being able to reflect on every angle on my topic to allow me to organize my ideas accurately. This skill is beneficial to learn, for it helped with my report essay to acquire the focus of my paper more clearly. Moreover, this skill helped me write papers in my other classes more easily and efficiently. Likewise, my voice can be read strongly throughout the personal narrative essay, because the passion I had for my topic was an emotional one.…

I have always considered my relationship with writing to be very insignificant. Although I enjoy spending time verbally expressing my thoughts and feelings to others, it becomes difficult when these thoughts and feelings are expressed through writing. Throughout my adolescent years, I would often receive feedback for my writing given by the teacher in the form of a grade. Being unable to effectively organize my thoughts and ideas into words and sentences, I would feel reluctant to continue writing confidently whenever I received an undesirable grade.…

This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…

My Sojourn Through Intensive English 2 Throughout my sojourn of Intensive English 2, I’ve come to grow a great deal within my work. This can not only be seen by my essays but also on my capability of taking notes while reading now.
