Which shows that instead of accepted the fact that they were all saying the truth, Theseus prefered to neglect and ignore the possibilities of them being victims of Witchcraft. This shows the reader that Theseus is not open minded, but he’s also a king that does not believe in magic or Witchcraft. This piece of information helps the reader know that Theseus is not a superficial king and not gullible, however his ignorance blinds him from seeing the reality,that magic exist. “Lovers and madmen have such seething brains, such shaping fantasies, that apprehend, more than cool reason ever comprehends,” By comparing the lovers and madmen to normal people, Shakespeare in this part of the quote, describe the attitude and thought of Theseus.
