Tone & Mood
After reading “ There will come soft rains” and “The monkey's paw” i can tell the tone of these books are sad and happy because they are making me want to cry and makes me laugh and makes me want to read it again.
In the story “ There Will Come Soft Rains” the tone is kinda hard for me to understand. The tone for the story is straight and the mood is lonely the reason for this is that the story is commanding but sad at the same time, because of nobody being there for the house. Then when the house caught on fire and the house was panicking trying to save itself. Then the little mice try to clean the house and they catch on fire and malfunction and run around getting everything on fire.
