John it is your turn," said Mr. Glass. I picked my head up looking around the room searching for the answer; still sitting there puzzled. It is my first day here and I am basically showing my therapist the exact reason I am attending this session. I opened my mouth to speak finally, nothing came out, Mr. Glass raised his hand towards me. He understood my condition; a sigh of relief was lifted off my shoulders; i placed my head back on the table. Mr. Glass continued his class for another twenty minutes then assigned everyone to go home and practice on their communication with a close friend for at least thirty minutes twice a week. After hours of pronouncing and taking huge deep breath I begin to speak more. I ask her what she go to the movies with me this weekend , she said yes and she would be free at eight o'clock. 30 minutes later I went home and spoke around my mom she jumped up and ran to me. She asked me how was your therapy that helped, I told her it was my new friend that helped and how she had the same anxiety attacks I have, I told her how focusing on my words and taking deep breaths helped. She told me how much she was proud of me and that she would love to meet my new friend. It was finally Saturday today was the big day, my first big date was approaching me faster and faster. My mother was very excited every time I look back I saw her smiling, I knew she was happy I was finally over my conditions and was going on my first date.that was not at the door my mother eyes grew wide, as I walk to the door began smiling , Open the door I saw a shiny red shirt with a big sign that said hug me all over it, I reached out to mom saying you want to be the young ladies John was telling me so much about, she said yes ma'am I'm on mom nearly broke into tears telling her thank you.
