In regards to therapeutic treatment, Ms. Stokes noted that Jonathan was received therapy for behavioral issues for acting out and change in his attitude. She reported referring him to Multicultural Mental Health Center, West Palm Beach, Fl. She reported Jonathan’s attended individual therapy once weekly for six months. Ms. Stokes noted that she mentioned to the psychiatrist that Jonathan was diagnosed with ADHD, by which he was prescribed Adderall. However, she stated that Jonathan stopped his medications in June of 2016 because the family moved to Broward County from Palm Beach. She further related that after thirty days of taking the medications, Johnathan would need to be re-evaluated. Ms. Stokes denied any change in the youth’s behavior …show more content…
Stokes reported the family resides in a Deerfield Beach two bedroom, one and a half-bathroom house, she has rented for the past three months. She opined the family resides in a community, which she described as “ghetto,” where there are drugs present and unsafe neighborhood. In regards to having concerns for the child’s safety, Ms. Stokes reported that her children are not allowed to go outside or play with other children that reside in the neighborhood, because she does not feel comfortable. The mother shared she does not have visitors to the home. When asked about the sleeping arrangements in the home, she noted that Jonathan has his private sleeping area and sleeps alone. She reported that she co-sleeps with her daughter. According to Ms. Stokes, Jonathan always showers and bathe independently. Also residing in the home is the youth’s sister, who co-sleeps with her mother. The mother denied owning or having pornography in the home. Regarding sexual boundaries within the home, the mother denied Jonathan ever witnessed her engaging in any sexual behavior or being nude in the presence of her child. Ms. Sweeting denied owning any weapons. She stated Jonathan does have access television channels that are sexual in content because of no parental guides. Additionally, she related that Jonathan does have a cellphone that has Internet access, but noted that she has the passwords to his email and Facebook.
