Theories are the way people view things, like realism, constructivism, and liberalism. In the United States government, using every theory is essential to problem solving and understanding. When people look at something the way something truly is, and find a way to deal with it, is realism. When people use their own experiences to better understand something is constructivism. When people view things in which things need to change to get progress, is liberalism.

The United States understands that they have caused a lot of havoc with ISIS and its people, and now revenge is ISIS’s option. The United States government has realized that ISIS wants revenge and believe they can stop ISIS before it is too late. A realist will realize that we should stop ISIS population growth because the more power they get the more other countries will fear them and give in to them. The U.S. has made an attempt to stop the population growth for ISIS by using military airstrikes to attack Syria. A realist understands that the U.S. needs to stop the population growth of ISIS and the only way to do that now is war. ISIS wants a ground war and I believe we will eventually give it to them. In the constructivism perception, the United States government has learned from its past mistakes that a war can solve solutions, but also make situations worse. A war is needed when a state is doing morally unjust things, but not when it is not an unwinnable war. If this was a circumstance like Vietnam War, war would not be the best option because the United States were never going to win that war, but it is not. Therefore, responding in a war may actually be the greatest decision to make, because ISIS has a harsh perspective on the U.S., and needs to be put to a stop because they will not back down. The liberalism in America’s actions is when the United States bombed Syria because this showed that we are a state that will do unmoral acts for our own gain.
