Theory of Philosophy vs Truth of Philosophy
Although, my theories of philosophy are study of true knowledge of life, views of the universe and views on religion. Could this be the truth of what is philosophy? Prior to the first day of class, my thought was religion and what exactly is philosophy. But I was looking forward to learn what it truly meant and how I can utilize the knowledge in my life. Being anticipated, I did a brief research on what is philosophy and realize it has to deal with the way you think and reasoning. However, I thought it had something to do with the mind or under psychology as nurse positions are under a doctor’s position. On the PowerPoint in class it says “Ethics: Moral philosophy/What is right and wrong.” “Logic: Studies the nature of truth, validity, and the form of reasoning.” Both these branches of philosophy go hand to hand in the business world. Since, I am majoring in business administration it is important to be educated, apply, and teach my employers or partner when I have my own business. In the business world, marketers come across ethnic thinking when they are advertising a business company new product. The choices on what are right, that is telling the truth about the product or choosing wrong and lies about the product. Business in accounting, it is a must to remember ethics while doing journal entries, income statements, payroll, or even doing anyone’s taxes. Accountants have to make the right choices while doing all those accounts otherwise the internal revenue service or the government will go after them or their business. Subsequently, ethics come into play in the decisions we make every day. In the textbook Introducing Philosophy, it mentioned “Morality is a set of fundamental rules that guide our actions.” The importance here is that ethics carry us interested in interaction through others, and requests us to reflect the value of that …show more content…
Being a business major, I know now the importance of ethics. Before my understanding of it, was a set of values by which we live.
