In another context of seeing why this is, is due to how urges, are just urges, and we are not necessarily going to take action to satisfy every urge we get; such as sexual urges. Therefore, to answer when this psychological tendency will happen is when the conditions of interaction, and call for substance are present, and then when the altruistic acts are likely to occur is when the factors of level of interaction and disparity in resources are existent and high.
Theoretical Model – Who it happens with? The heart of who is often the individual that is offered assistance in altruism is something that I hold to relate to interaction because if people who are prone to getting help, are often interacted with, then we can make the assumption that there is a tendency where people who are interacted with, are likely to get aid from the other individual they are in contact with. Interaction alone is not enough to figure out who will get proposed altruistic acts, but it is a condition, so it’s start. The interaction, and call for a substance will be what determines whether the psychological tendency exists, …show more content…
Moreover, although the tendency realizes when interaction and activation of a substance happens, this tendency will be of low intense, the disparity in resources, and level of interaction become exceptionally important, when you ask the question, not whether the tendency is there, but whether an individual will act on it. Another thing, is that although the tendency and actualization of offering aid can be arise, the other individual(s) don’t necessarily have to accept the assistance that they are being presented, this is however is another interesting hole in the research of altruism, and that would be, when is it that an individual accepts help, and what factors influence such a decision. Also, the reason I hold interaction to of great importance is because looking back at the seven explanations of why people are altruistic, they all have the basis of interaction. Of course, there are situations such as kin selection, where perhaps the parent has never met the sibling or child, but still helps by sending money or something that is of assistance to the receiver. Not only is this in kin selection, but in each explanation, there is likely a specific
