Critical thinking and ethical considerations entails four fundamental aspects namely; identifying and questioning assumptions, seeking a multiplicity of choices and alternatives on a subject, making connections, and fostering active involvement these aspects incorporated with theoretical links between critical thinking and ethics are the foundation of this discussion. Factually, what may be ethical in one situation may be considered unethical in another context.
Critical thinking is the ability to intellectually and skillfully conceptualize, apply, and analyze information gathered from observation or experience as a guide to belief and action. In order to achieve the best conclusion, information should be gathered and evaluated from as many different sources possible. The gathering of information helps to broaden the scope of research and further increase the chance of improving on previously proposed ethical theories. Similarly, critical thinking improves self retrospection and personal assessment thereby helping me know my strengths, weaknesses, and preferences and their possible impact on decisions I make in life. Evaluation and synthesis skills can also help me to develop foresight and predict possible outcomes of scenarios.
