According to Reeve (2105), a present state is having awareness of one’s current behavior and domain. This is a current state of how life is presently going. However, an ideal state is a what one wants to attain. An ideal state is when a person acknowledges a present state, accepts or thinks the present state is acceptable. Discrepancy is wanting to alter the present state so that it will progress towards the ideal state. There is a discrepancy with an ideal state when a person does not think or accepts the present state to be ideal, acknowledge the present state and the ideal state demonstrates a difference (Reeve, 2015). I currently have a flawed behavior of not being as health cautious as I once was. This behavior has affected my self-esteem
