Quiet footsteps echoed off the alley walls. In the distance, the sound of a dog howling and glass shattering could be heard. Theo walked home alone down the empty alley, music blasting in his ears. Unfortunately for Theo, today was the day, the day that he dreaded every single year. The memory was so clear in his mind, it replayed in his head over and over again. The blood, the screaming, and the stench of death in the air, that's all he remembers from that day.
*Flashback*
Blood covered the walls and furniture, stray bullets scattered all over the room. On the floor lay a man and woman, their bodies covered in blood, a faint smile still etched on their faces. There, hidden in the corner stood Theo Baldwin, no older than eleven, trembling

Theo moved into his aunt and uncle's house in Chicago after his parents died. He was now seventeen, standing a little bit over six feet tall with dark brown hair and dazzling green eyes. He was the town mystery, not many knew him, and those who did never speak about him. Those who knew him before the accident had forgotten about him, their minds completely obliterated of any memory of him. Only his uncle knew who Theo was, what Theo was, not even Theo knew, not until his eighteenth birthday which so happened to be tomorrow. Theo had eventually arrived home or his home after his parents died. Once inside, he went straight upstairs into his bedroom and locked the door. Alone in his room, just like every other night, except this night was different, this night was where he relived it all, this night was where all he wanted to do was forget, and lastly this night was the last night he stayed at is uncle’s although Theo did not know …show more content…
Theo was beyond angry, he was furious. His parents were dead, sister was forced to live in hiding, and he was forced to never know who he truly was. He threw punch after punch at the guards at ghost cooperation to him they were punching bags and he was the boxer. They didn't know what hit them probably because he was using his invisibility, but who knows. He and Kat reached the lab on the fifth floor inside over a hundred kids held against their will in what looked like animal cages. Using his powers every cage in the hall mashed open. Kids jumped out, some as young as five while others were around his and Kat’s age. His mission was accomplished he had set the kids free. No one else would be at the mercy of Ghost. He only had one job left kill the man in charge. Kill the man that murdered his family, the man that took his sister away from him kill him and it would all be over and he and his sister could live in peace.
Theo made it all the way to the top floor, to the penthouse office. There stood the man behind this operation, there stood the man who made him this way. With that in mind, he lunged forward both body and mind attacking at full force. Within a minute the man lay dead on the floor. The weight that had been on Theo’s shoulder ever since his parents died had been lifted. He was finally free, he was no longer alone anymore, he was no longer afraid anymore.
