Cletus and Earl kidnap a boy because they need money but little do they know this boy is quite the handful. Like Cletus and Earl Bill and Sam do the same Thing in The Ransom Of Little Red Chief the Author creates the theme Although the desperate men are in need of help the reader knows that they can not handle the boy and have to get rid of him and the Ransom.
Bill and Sam wanted a ransom for Johnny but Johnny proves to be too much trouble so they get rid of him because of what johnny said his actions and his mean relationship. This Story could remind you off real life occurrences were desperate people do crazy thing for something they need.
