He is a honorable king, even though he is marked with a touch of narcissism he still is a virtuous man. He truly cares for his people just like a father would care for his children. “Poor children!You may be sure I know All that you longed for in your coming here. But the qualities can only take a man a certain distance in life. She very well knows that Creon is corrupted in search of power. Though he finally achieved the throne after causing bloodshed between brother he still needs to convince the citizen of Thebes that he earned the throne and not cheated it. “And our two brothers died, Each killed by the others sword.”(“Antigone” 4. Everyone is convinced by Creon 's lies except for Antigone and Ismene.
