Old Major is a prized boar who visions of have a socialist concept as a way to inspire the rebellion against the owners. Old Major was the leader on the farm and would always call meetings but his sudden death left Snowball and Napoleon in charge of his legacy. Snowball and Napoleon are two pigs and they are the ones who have decided to prepare the other animals for the rebellion against the owner Mr. Jones. A couple days later they forced Mr. Jones off the farm and renamed the farm Animals Farm. Since they are in charge of the farm they decided that they need to make their own commandments of Animalism. Of the rules was that “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” (Orwell 51-52). They are basically saying that their is a pyramid of classes that each animal gets placed in. If they are on the same level then they are equal and the higher you are they more power you have. Snowball and Napoleon are trying to teach the other animals about animalism. "Of course, other animals are made of flesh, bone, and blood, just like human beings are. They have the same five physiological senses that we do, and they feel pain, in the same way and to the same degree" (Friedrich 1). Squealer is the animal that makes sure the Napoleon is not controlling the pigs so that their is fairness involved when they vote on rules and projects. The pigs usually go with Napoleon to make sure that their is not a huge conflict between them. The pigs are good at what they do because they are able to stretch the truth. Many of the animals are uneasy over the next project but the animals are told that they need to make more space for the pigs can do their work. The pisg are rewriting history because they are making new rules of animalism that have a whole new look of the world. The benefits of rewriting his is that they can make sure that they have their own authority on certain things. They tried to make a rule that would not all the animals to wear ribbons and their response was "Can you not understand that liberty is worth more than just ribbons?" (Orwell 6). They still want to be able to wear their ribbons and the rule is saying that they can no longer allowed to wear it. They are going to stick up for themselfs and “they were fed up with that world” (Farmers Weekly 1). They feel that people should not be treated like this and that they should be treated better than that. The pigs rewrote history through Orwell’s story Animals Farm through the problem of rhetorical and social control. Humans will not be the only ruler and animals will come out and try to bring the free to
