Obsession
Two short stories that seem to be very dissimilar and do not even share the same author share a common theme throughout their stories. Throughout The Yellow Wallpaper and A Good Man is hard to Find the common theme of “obsession” that takes a turn for the worst at the conclusion of each story. In the story of The Yellow Wallpaper we learn of a lady who is suffering from nervous depression who becomes infatuated with the yellow wallpaper on her walls. She states that she in fact starts seeing people who are trapped behind the wallpaper and by the end she becomes so overcome by it she goes downright insane. In A Good Man is Hard to Find we are introduced to a grandma on vacation with her son and his family who run into a bad group
