In the tragic play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ the writer Shakespeare uses the idea of motivation to help develop the characters’ and progress the plot.

Juliet is one of the characters’ who has lots of motivation in this play. Juliet has motivation to get with Romeo, Juliet loved him and did not want to marry Paris to please her parents. Juliet’s motivation might not be good, because her love and will to be with Romeo was so strong she was willing to make everyone think she was dead. She made it so her family would never be able to see her again.

Romeo much like Juliet had lots of motivation. Romeo wanted to be with Juliet no matter what, he was willing to get killed, and banished for her. Romeo was to irrational when it came to love. He was
