It is often thought that violence is both a masculine and feminine action however, there are many statistics that show violence is primarily a masculine action. This leads to the common thought that men are the root of violence in the American society. The American society’s idea of a man is someone that shows strength, power, and violence. This understanding brings forth the question of whether men are inherently violent or if violence is a taught behavior. Tough Guise 2 emphasizes the idea that violence is indeed a taught behavior. Another way that American culture of manhood is defined is by the want for sexual relationships. Tough Guise 2 forwards that idea. The idea that Tough Guise 2 presents is that there is a sexual desire by most males. This idea relates to Prison Break since all the inmates are males as well as they have not been able to regularly communicate with females. The limited communication with females causes an increased sexual desire. This increased sexual desire is resulted by the inmates fantasizing over nurse Sarah Tancredi. The sexual desire is controlled because they use the only female that is around the inmates to control how frustrated they are to not be able to have sexual relationships often. The sexual desire is covered up with the thoughts of sexualizing Sarah Tancredi running through their minds. An example in Prison Break of the sexualization of inmates is when Sucre had his fiancée who he had not seen in months visit him while he was in prison. Sucre had not had any sexual relationship in months therefore as soon as he saw his fiancée, he immediately grabbed her and started making out in a sexual way. He began showing off his masculine personality of having a desire for sexual wants. He eventually moved on to groping her and making sexual advances towards her. Sucre only acted this way towards his fiancée because of how long he had been removed from his sexual relationship. This fits into the masculine idea
