In the story “Making Sarah Cry” and “Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote” the theme of being different is being shown. In “Making Sarah Cry” Sarah and the boy were being treated differently in the story for what they look like and and what they do. In “Susan B. Anthony” Dares to Vote” Susan B. was being treated differently because of her being a women and only men can vote not women. While both of these stories share a common theme, the mood of the stories are completely different. The story “Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote” contains court and the law, demonstrating how bad the situation really was. On the other hand, in “Making Sarah Cry” the mood is less important.
In the poem “Making Sarah Cry” the author shows us that we should be kind to people because being different is who we are. In the beginning of the story “Making Sarah Cry” their were a group of friends that play kickball and one day they decided to make Sarah cry and one of them didn’t like that but he want it to hang out with his friends so he would ent have bad stuff said to him. Then she went to court for what she and her friends did because it was her idea for what they did that is important because know she is going to jail just for fighting for her right. In the middle of the story “Susan B. Anthony” Dares to Vote” She gets a fine of a $100 but she doesn't want to pay it. Then she gets a lawyer to help her out that is important because not paying a $100 was bad for the situation she is in know. In the end of the story “Susan B. Anthony” Dares to Vote” she dies, but she inspired a lot of Other women to do the same thing for fighting for their
