First, many people believe that the main purpose of humans on Earth is to procreate and continue the existence of the human species. Secondly, humans all possess the same tendencies of self-satisfaction. Lastly, many people search for love their whole life, hoping to find someone to have a family with and continue the human legacy. Whether it is for love or for lust, all humans want to take advantage of their right to choose and find someone who not only makes them happy but satisfies their humanly needs. A Eugenics Program would never be able to exist today because it will put a limit on individuality by allowing the government to control arguably one of the most important decisions of a person’s life. Also, in the Eugenics Program of Equality’s society, a child is forbidden to know their parents (Rand 15). Although in the modern world children often may never meet their parents, the idea is not forbidden because everyone is entitled to know where they came from and who gave them the gift of life.
