In retrospect, these three gifts from God enabled healing to commence and lives and hearts to be revolutionized. This healing process falls under the extensive theme of forgiveness and is made evident through a myriad of example throughout both stories. All three reiterate how crucial it is to become more open-hearted and allow forgiveness to consume us and lead us into a life where dealing with pain isn’t as brutal nor heavy weighted. Forgiveness in both books demonstrate that labeling (race, gender, height etc.) and standardizing inhumane acts and names is not acceptable and can be gradually stopped if everyone’s offers forgiveness to all even to the greatest sinners. Then, as a large community, everyone will heal, and pain will become an increasingly smaller burden as more people understand this deep-rooted
