Collectivism is any several types of a social organization in which the individual is seen as being subsidiary to a social collectivity such as a state, a nation, a race, or a social class. In the book Anthem, this type of principle is widespread and followed by everyone. The rulers of this society have one regulation to enforce and one only: Equality. This restricts numerous freedoms that we possess today. For example, no man can own a name, no man may think that of which his brothers do not, and an individual cannot possess more knowledge than any other.
