The Ambition and Desire of Self-Improvement in Peaceful Warrior How can one’s ambition lead to a new improvement? Dan’s ambition leads him to do some pretty dangerous things. He also lets his ambition take over him and his actions as well as his thoughts. Dan wants everyone around him to know that he is a perfect person and that nothing bothers him. He thinks that he is perfect because he is rich, is good at gymnastics, and is good at getting all the girls which is effortless for him. All of this leads him to hurting his friends and himself. He is just too much of a perfectionist. However, Dan’s life is being led by his ambitions and self-improvement, one of the themes in Peaceful Warrior. How has Dan’s ambition lea him to become a selfish person? Dan has now started to like he’s better than everyone around him. Why? Well that’s because he is extremely good at gymnastics and does not want to accept anyone else’s talents. Even his closest friends do not like him because he is too selfish. The main character Dan Millman will meet Sacrates which he calls him in the movie. Sacrates is more like a philosopher because he knows most thing that people would normally not know. Dan has now met Sacrates at the gas station where Sacrates works at. Sacrates then tells Dan some new information and shows him some weird things that freak him out.
