and had greatly affected many societies in terms of limits and tragic changes. In
this novel, there are many issues such as books being prohibited and people with
different ideas being judged. These issues bring up the idea of the people who are
being affected speaking for themselves and fighting for their rights.The main

Although, some governments are still on the harsh side. Some
governments today are whats is called Communist. That means that they don't
allow their people to leave the country, and the citizens must also live according to
what the ruler says. For example, Cuba is communist because the people cannot
leave the country; make more than a certain wage; and every month the citizens are
given a bag of rice and beans to support their family. Normal governments such as
the United States, citizens have certain laws, but you aren't forced to do anything.
All societies have ups and downs, but no society is as strict and unacceptable as
the one in Fahrenheit 451.
In conclusion, the theme of "Action vs. Inaction" was used in many situations
throughout the novel. Montag didn't bother to stand up for himself at first. Later,
when Montag learned to stand up for himself, he became successful. Sadly, people
who were not accepted, yet not afraid of the fact, lost their lives. The society in
this novel is nothing like modern society. Today, most people live freely and with
their own styles. This book teaches us to appreciate our liberty and also choose the
