a) Dr. House
Dr. House is a doctor who is always looking for the truth in every situation regardless of who they are. He seems to have a way of seeing through people and their tales. He is a believer, but also knows there is a medical reason for everything. He has a mindset to get to the bottom of everything. He is also the go to guy inside the hospital. People like him and trust him.
b) The Teenager
The teenager is a preacher who let’s everyone believe he can heal everyone regardless of their illness and situation. He travels around with his father talking to people and helping the world. He stated in the beginning of the show he believes God can heal anything and there is no need for doctors, but that quickly changed when he about passed out on the stage at church.
c) The Father The Father is a God loving man and believes his son is a chosen one who does no wrong. He follows his son’s word and believes God does tell him what to do all the way to the hospital almost allowing him to die. This statement made the Father think and trust Dr. House and in the end save his son. d) The cancer patient She is giving up on life at this point. The doctor has prescribed four different types of pain medications, but they are not working. She knows she is at the end, but the doctor does not want her to give up. She said she lived, but is ready for things to be over. She has basically given up to the illness. She meets the teenager and he turn her thinking around. He makes her think different, feel different, as well as feel better. She now believes and wants life. e) The other doctors The doctor’s seem to be optimistic throughout this process. b) Persons… He does not mind working with people, but doubts a lot of their theories. He listens, but always questions their logic of thinking and why they do what they do.
c) Himself ….. He knows he is a smart man and will get to the bottom of the problem. He listens to other people’s remarks regarding himself, but then always has a comeback that seems wittier than theirs. I get the feeling he is a good guy, but does not trust anyone.
4) How might these basic ideas contribute to how Dr. House acts/lives?
5) Which character(s) is/are…
a) most true to their beliefs? That is to say, who lives the most consistently with what they say they believe? I would say the Father of the teenage boy. He is a child of God and does what is asked of him. He does what his asked of him and never backed down from his side or his
