These spaces are intended to serve the audience and include lobbies, restrooms, corridors, exits and refreshment stands. Some of these spaces such as the box office are for the theatrical personnel. Although not much is done to shape the audience and its space the director must take in to account the size of the auditorium as well as its shape, sightlines, acoustical properties and the physical relationship between the audience and performers. The production design allows for the directors, actors and designers to select and shape aural and visual signs in order to stimulate a set of desired audience responses. There are many different elements and principles of theatre that are the basic building blocks in which scene, costume and lighting designers create various images or patterns. The collaboration and the designers process is the need for collaboration between individually conceived parts to create a whole capable of eliciting desired responses and
