I tapped my pencil against the wooden desk, anxiously staring down the clock. The end of the day could not come quick enough. All I wanted was for it to be 8:00 PM. Fast forward to around six hours later, I was in a large crowd of people, all of whom were way too close for comfort, and my neck was dotted with sweat. There were at least 200 people in the small area that is referred to as the ‘pit’. The pit was congested and it was impossible to stand in there without being touched by someone else. I was accompanied by Dionna Taylor and Rachel Jones, two of my closest friends. It was September 17th, 2015, we were in Portland, Maine, and I was experiencing the best night of my life. When we first arrived at the State Theater, a tall, large …show more content…
I sang along until my mouth became dry, the music was so loud that I felt like I would be deaf the next day. The sound of Alex’s voice, Rian’s drums, Jack’s guitar, and Zack’s bass all filled my ears and made my heart flutter with excitement. All the stupid jokes the band members made throughout the show had me laughing so hard. After they played Something’s Gotta Give, they left the stage. The crowd began chanting “ALL TIME LOW, ALL TIME LOW, ALL TIME LOW”. I knew that they weren’t done, and soon enough, they came back to the stage and began singing Kids in the Dark. I knew this song by heart, so I sang along with Alex, and so did the rest of the audience. Each and every song they played was sensational and all the members of the crowd, including myself and my friends, enjoyed every minute of it. Towards the end of the concert, Alex had come to the front of the stage and had his hand out to touch some of the fans. I pushed my way further up front with Dionna at my side. We reached out and touched his hand. When my fingers quickly glided against his hand, all I could think was OH MY GOD I JUST TOUCHED ALEX GASKARTH. His hand was sweaty, as was mine. At this moment I could not contain my excitement, I was so ecstatic. My smile was so wide, I couldn’t imagine being any happier than I was at this moment. I was unable to stop myself from grinning so

This season was one of the best experiences for me in my life. The month of October was really stressful with Drama and everything else that was going on for me, but it was worth it especially for band. The field show solo was an amazing opportunity for me and it was an honor to be given the privilege to perform it. I got to connect with more band members a lot more than I did last year. This band is the best band I have ever been a part of and I hope I can be apart of it these next two years.…

A Kid Rock performance is one of the most intense things you might ever do. The probing thing is that, despite that I, and many other personally don’t think Kid Rock is very good, there was a bursting audience, with the price of a ticket at $60 or more. The crowd had no precise feeling, there were families, normal casino types, some younger faces, but really, no one demographic was exactly represented.…

The concert of the music from Appalachia was unique. I enjoyed it a lot for it not only was musically pretty, but there was substance and meaning to the words. These songs were stories of the struggles and triumphs of the people. During the concert, I felt the emotion and the presence of the people and afterwards I felt a sense of gratefulness for all that I have. I imagine the people from Appalachia contributing to the beauty and culture of their community as any other people of a community add to the beauty of theirs.…

The Grateful Dead Movie By Launy schweiger The opening is a cartoon with psychedelic music and out of this world spaced themed pinball game, much like the Monty python opening in “The Meaning of Life” hinting a baseline of their music style. That at the every end turns into the real opening credits of the movie filled with a variety of American popular culture icons and symbols, and some cases parodies them, such as Uncle Sam's head turns into skeletal version of himself who starts to sing the opening song, or the Great Seal of the United States on fire, further hinting at the mixture of styles the band uses in their music. To Fully grasp the band and their style we first must understand them, and their relationship with one another and the fans.…

Unforgettable with Stephanie Aaron and the Bradley Jazz Ensemble was a very unique experience. I do not attend many concerts, but the ones that I have gone to were nothing like this one. The concert was full of energy and the lighting was dynamic. I mostly went to traditional concerts, but this jazz concert was much more energetic. When musicians would finish a solo the crowd would applaud and there was a lot of movement among the ensemble.…

Once I shut the door behind me, I knew I was isolated in my own pity. The floor under me, piled with clothing and small items, never meant a thing in that moment. A rising art form in popular culture today is none other than the American musical theatre. My husband is an entertainer and most times, when he had a wedding reception to DJ, he would bring me along to help set up the equipment and gives me a chance to get out of the house. We were doing a reception at a large resort and as always, he got the party bustling. The only problem is, I’m not really the outgoing type of person so I usually just sit around for 4-5 hours, getting a couple of drinks while he works the party people.
