Roger, I agree that our GEOINT support (imagery replication) to BMC has ran its course. ISR-I support as augmentees to act as COCOM J2 only fills BMC staff vacancies. I believe acting as a ISR facilitator is an enhanced role that we can easily provide. This will help prove/solidify ISR-I importance by focusing on true ISR integration, coordination and synchronization throughout the entire process. BMC should look at filling J2 vacancies from tenant units (i.e. 1AD and/or subordinate brigades).…

Candidate Countryman posted security and had a team start making a terrain model for him while he was receiving his brief, showing good use of his team-members and good time management. His brief delivery was at a normal volume and conversational tone, but had only limited eye contact throughout the brief. He provided a thorough assessment and description of the enemy situation, and discussed higher and adjacent elements in the friendly situation. He did not brief the Administration or Logistics paragraphs, but just said “Same as the base order, we’re not changing anything.” He did not provide the location of the Platoon Commander or Platoon Sergeant and did not have a succession of command, only briefing it after being prompted by a team…

Knowledge management principles are an enduring set of guidelines for managing knowledge that are established by an organization, program, or team (Mar, 2003). Due to the Army’s reduction in force and new governing systems, products, and services continually flooding the Army system, knowledge is perishable and limited. Too often, teams and individuals hold on to knowledge as opposed to sharing it with others and using shared experiences in order to maximize the productivity of the organization as a whole (Mar, 2013). In order for a good knowledge management program to be successful, it is imperative that the executive management be supported.…

Over the last 1.5 years, the 4th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) has undergone significant change.
