Lesane Parrish Interview With Religion

Many people have different views and opinions when it comes to religion. I had the pleasure of interviewing someone by the name of Lesane Parrish. During the interview, he discussed his views on religion and spirituality. He also shared how he believes that men should put more effort into a relationship than women. This turned into a very interesting interview. On October 3rd 2015, I interviewed Lesane Parrish who currently lives in Jackson, Tennessee. He is spiritual, but does not consider himself religious. Lesane believes in the African spiritualaliy and views god in a scientific way. He informed me the African spirituals are the teachings based on the Egyptian Gods Isis, Horus and Osiris. As stated earlier, he implied that the Son of God is the sun and not a child. He also goes on to say the pictures of Mary and Jesus and other pictures before bible times; they had suns around their head, not halos (Parrish). Lesane says he always been open minded, and thinks outside the box. He is originally from Nashville, TN where he was raised in a strict Christian home. Almost 2 years ago, he made his decision to convert from Christianity to African spirituality. One of his reasons was that blacks go through so much, pray to Jesus and wait for a solution. …show more content…
For example, when someone dies, a baby is being born. Another one is when someone dies, they are being reborn again. They can come back as a baby or animal. Next lifetime, is when one dies and comeback as a baby over and over again. In addition, Parrish did mention died spirits are walking the earth. He was born into a family who did see their dead relatives but he never seen one. Died spirits are on earth until judgment day. They are stuck on earth. He stated “When we die our bodies die, but our energy do not. We all are energy” (Parrish). A sprit is an energy. When people die it is physically, not spiritually
