I chose to read an article by Lesley Alderman titled, “The Year of Conquering Negative Thinking.” A lot of people are guilty of lingering around negative thoughts more than positive ones and it can get in the way of true happiness. Due to this common scenario, Lesley’s article mainly details all the steps that need to be taken in order to make this year, and even the years to come, all about less negative thoughts. As the saying goes, the first step to solving your problem is admitting that there is in fact a problem. Instead of continuously obsessing over your negative thoughts or deciding to push them away as if they aren’t there, acknowledge that they are there and accept the fact that you will have to work on them.
