Essay On Bloody Mary Tudor

All writing experiences are different depending on the person. Some write about their struggles in life or to build a world of fantasy. Others write because they are forced to for class or a job. I write to see what type of story I can create. One of my most memorable writings was a story in addition to a thought provoking essay. The experience I had writing that was most memorable to me was my research paper for my 12th grade English class.
My research paper was about Queen Mary Tudor, also known as Bloody Mary, and how she influenced her era. I got to choose the topic I wanted to write. I feel that teachers should almost always let students have some choice in picking their topic. In the book McKeachie 's teaching tips, it states that if teachers allow students to pick their own topics for writing then they would be more motivated to write. In my experience, it is better to write on a topic you enjoy. If you do then your will not only enjoy writing more, but also not procrastinate on the writing.

I also enjoy learning about monarchs and their personal lives. I believed that Mary, a princess who became queen by chance, would be a fascinating subject to write about. My Best Writing Tip by William Boyd, Jeanette Winterson, Amit Chaudhuri and More stated that when you have an idea on a topic then you should treat it like a stranger. The idea could work out or go out of

On July 7, 1865, Mary Surratt walked to her death. Because of her supposed involvement in Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, Mary was sentenced to death by hanging (Kingseed). Mary transferred binoculars and shooting irons to her tavern for Booth, lied to the authorities claiming to not know Lewis Powell, and her son, John H. Surratt Jr., was a confederate spy and was suspected of helping with the president’s assassination. This evidence was enough for Secretary of War Edwin Stanton, the official in charge of locating and capturing Lincoln’s killer and conspirators, to condemn Mary Surratt to death. There have been many arguments and opinions over the years about whether or not Mary’s sentence was justified.…

There is a new Queen, who was born among royalty during the year of 1558 in Hatfield, England. She is one of the three surviving children of King Henry VIII and the most unlikely to be next in line for the throne. She would rule during a time period where her Protestant faith would be tested in the highest regard due to her mother and her brother previous rule before her. She never knew her mother, Anne Boylan, for she was beheaded before the people for being “unfaithful” to the king. The main reason was Anne Boylan could not fulfill an empty promise to give him a son, but instead a baby girl who is forever known as Queen Elizabeth the I (Neale).…
