In the movie Before Sunrise directed by Richard Linklater, complete strangers Jesse and Celine met on a train ride to France and fell head over heels for each other. Jesse at first just wanted to have sex with her, but ended up falling in love. Celine just wanted companionship and ended up falling in love. I think it ultimately comes down to how that person makes you feel. When you are not with that person, do you miss them and wish to be around them? Or you are with them and you wish to get away from them.
