Verma et al(13) said that in Female subjects (33%) in the Coronal Suture - the lower ½ part of this suture get fused at the age of 42-44 yrs and is followed by upper ½ part, which is found fused at the age of 56 yrs

Lynnerup & Jacobsen concluded that below 40 years of age there is relation between development and age, but that any precise determination of age in seniors is impossible. (70)

The results of Bednarek et al.(118) demonstrated the impossibility of precise evaluation of the age based on the closing of the suture.
