The world is constantly changing and Christians need to prepare for whatever it throws at them. There are many different worldviews in play today from atheistic materialism to new age thinking, however, none of them provides a clear and universal truth like a Christian worldview.
Romans 1-8 gives Christians a solid foundation for a Biblical worldview and offers answers to many of the questions that People have been asking themselves from the beginning of time. Who am I? How did I come to be here? What is my purpose here on earth and how should I respond to the world around me? People of the world have tried to answer these questions in their own knowledge and ability but have fallen far short of the mark. In contrast, Paul provides the answers to these questions and more through the divine lens of Gods revelation. Culture can be described as a way of life or a way to live life. Paul describes a society where either through laziness or willful disobedience the culture dishonors God even though they know Him (Rom 1:21). Paul says, “Professing to be wise, they became fools” because they traded what was Holy for what was unholy (Rom 1:22). Today, humanity denies the biblical account of creation and replaces it with a man-centered view of the world. This view requires an immense faith in the knowledge of man. Conversely, God provides the gospel to show His power to everyone and His creation bolsters the faith that He requires so that man does not have to rely on his own knowledge (Prov 3:5). Paul quotes Habakkuk to get the message across that Christians are to live by faith (Hab 2:4). Christians must have faith that Jesus was who he said he was and He did what He said He would do.
